As part of its continuing educational outreach efforts, The Lundquist Institute provides training opportunities for students (high school, undergraduate, graduate) seeking an experience in the following areas:
With dozens of laboratories throughout the campus, researchers at the Lundquist Institute are working to unravel the mysteries of heart and kidney disease, cardiac complications in newborns, chronic lung disease, skin cancer, sickle cell disease, disorders of the autoimmune system, and more. Many of these projects are collaborative in nature, involving experts from different areas of specialization.
We are one of the few non-profit medical research institutes to be located on the same campus and to partner with a prestigious community-based academic medical hospital – Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. This vital link connects the laboratory, clinic, and community – a purpose that resides at the heart of our mission.
As a prominent non-profit biomedical research organization, the Lundquist Institute fosters a dynamic environment that encourages individuals collaborating with others in order to expand their skills and knowledge. The Institute further promotes networking, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring that each team member can thrive and achieve their full potential in their respective career paths.
